I was holding out hope that the BCS Powers That Be would set up Oklahoma and Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl, pitting two of the hottest teams in the country in a rematch of last year's Sun Bowl.
However, as expected, the Sooners drew Big East champ Connecticut for what could turn out to be one of the lowest-rated BCS games in history. Of course, we all know what happened the last time OU played the Big East representative in the Fiesta.
I don't see history repeating itself here, though. Neither does Vegas: OU opened as a 16.5-point favorite over the Huskies.
